Hikes
Burstall Pass, Kananaskis
Chester Lake, Kananaskis
Tryst Lake, Kananaskis
Barrier Lake Lookout/McConnell Ridge Fire Tower/Yate’s Mountain (bunch of different names for the same location… from the lookout go straight up a small patch of steep rocks where the path fades out… it comes back after the rocks and up to a fire tower and 360 view, Kananaskis
Lilian Lake and Lower Galatea Lake, Kananaskis
Ribbon Falls, Kananaskis (might not want to go beyond the fall and do the chains to the lake alone)
Pocaterra Cirque, Kananaskis
A super duper easy one is Troll Falls, Kananaskis
Coal Mine Scar hike is easy, only like 2 hours, Kananaskis
Larch Valley, Lake Agnes, Eiffel Lake (all from Moraine Lake parking lot – Lake Louise area are quite easy)
Rawson Lake, Kananaskis is #1 on my list of day hikes I want to do… make sure to go up to the view point, don’t just stop at the lake. The trail head is at Upper Kananaskis Lake.
I’ve never hiked Mist Mountain but apparently it isn’t too difficult and there are hot springs 3/4 of the way up the mountains… people describe them more as “luke warm” springs though 😛
