I have a heavy heart today, hearing about the terrorist attacks in Brussels.
Often we are oblivious of how lucky we are to live in such a safe, peaceful country. Although these things can happen anywhere, we can be ignorant to the devastation happening around the world.
As Canadians, we should remember to be grateful each and every day for the lives we have, for the country we live in.
I had a friend voice to me they might cancel their plans to travel Europe because of the continual attacks. Living in fear allows these cowards to win. I visited the Colosseum weeks after ISIS said it was their next target and when I visited the Eiffel Tower, it was eerily empty. But I still went.
I won’t let them win. I won’t let fear run my life.
And I won’t let them stop me from doing what I love.
My thoughts are with the people in Brussels. Love > hate. Always.
