I figure life’s a gift and I don’t intend on wasting it. You don’t know what hand you’re gonna get dealt next. You learn to take life as it comes at you… to make each day count.
My favourite thing to do is something I’ve never done before. Adventures have brought me depth, wonder and joy to my life that no one or nothing can ever compete with.
How do I ensure my life is filled with adventure?
Make plans (but be open to random adventures that take over).
Never, ever hike the same path.
Cross off a bucket list item.
Always try a new restaurant.
heck, try a dish that you can’t even pronounce.
Talk to strangers.
Skip a few of those 8 “needed” hours of sleep
& add some hours of randomness.
Try a new sport.
Stop doing what’s comfortable
& experience what’s makes you uncomfortable.
Turn off the TV.
Stop adding input
& start creating output.
Just go on an adventure.
All this in mind, I think the real trick is to keep your mind open and grateful; to truly notice and reflect when you are on that adventure.
Celebrate them.
Take too many photos.
& if someone invites you for an adventure, despite how tired or busy as you are, grab a coffee and
say. yes.
<3 this! We hear people often say these motivational kinds of lectures (for use of a better word) throughout life but often forget to actually go out and do it. We need to make 'yes' a habit.
Thanks Kadie! That’s exactly it – too many motivational words and quotes, not enough doing. That’s why I gave some examples – I find that helps me at least! Love you!
You’ve got a fantastic blog here . Couldn’t agree more with this post .
